Elation Professional Rayzor Q7 Press Release
Elation Unveils Its Smallest, Fastest Moving Head LED Ever --
The Rayzor Q7 -- With RGBW Quad-Color Mixing And 4-Zone Chase Effects
LOS ANGELES – (For Immediate Release) – True to its name, the Rayzor Q7 takes club, stage and production effects to a new “cutting edge”. The smallest and fastest moving head LED wash / beam that Elation Professional has introduced to date, this little dynamo will dramatically cut through other visual effects in a room with its powerful “Rayzor”-sharp 7°-angle beam, breathtaking speed, Quad Color LEDs, and mesmerizing zonal effects.
The Rayzor Q7 will also cut through any previous notions you might have had about LED moving head effects. Weighing just 11 lbs. (5 kg.), it offers unsurpassed brightness for its size (5,442 lux at 4 meters), harnessing the power of 7 x 15-watt OSRAM Quad-Color RGBW LEDs, which also provide the ultimate in smooth, multi-color shadow-free color-blending. The Rayzor Q7 breaks conventional speed barriers too, thanks to its compact size and new high-speed 3-phase motor technology, which make its eye-popping, colorful beams literally fly around the room.
If that’s not enough, the Rayzor Q7 makes it a cinch to put added eye candy into your designs. That’s because this feature-rich wash/beam fixture also includes zonal chase effects. Its 7 LEDs can be controlled and chased in 4 independent zones, allowing you to create the kind of dynamic visual effects that are becoming increasingly demanded by today’s clubs, concert productions, and events and venues of all types.
“Everyone who’s seen the Rayzor Q7 has been absolutely amazed at its speed and the brightness it produces for its tiny size,” said Eric Loader, director of sales for Elation Professional. “This ground-breaking fixture truly ushers in whole new era in LED effects. Its high-output optical technology and 15-watt OSRAM Quad LEDs take power and brightness to a new level, while its compactness and light weight make it incredibly easy to handle, install and transport.
“Plus it’s very versatile,” added Loader, “because it can also be used as a chase effect to add excitement to your visuals, so it fits right in with the growing ‘eye candy’ trend while still being able to be used as a light for wash / beam effects.” The Rayzor Q7 offers a full complement of other professional features as well, including a variable strobe (1-18 flashes per second), 0-100% dimming, 8 built-in macros, and 540°/630° Pan and 265° Tilt. Its versatility can be further enhanced with optional accessories (sold separately), including a snoot lens cover and diffusion filter holder.
In addition to being easy to handle, the Rayzor Q7 is also virtually maintenance-free, since its long-life LEDs are rated at 50,000 hours. Its LED lamps also offer the benefit of being very energy efficient, consuming a mere 130 watts at maximum use.
Featuring 5-pin DMX as standard, the Rayzor Q7 can be operated in 3 DMX-channel modes (15, 17 and 28-channel) for versatile programming options. A full-color LCD touch menu display and RDMX (Remote DMX Addressing) make it convenient for users to set up and program the unit. The Rayzor Q7 includes Power-con In/Out linking and a multi-voltage power supply (100-240V, 50-60 Hz).
Built to the highest quality and safety standards, the Rayzor Q7 is CE approved with cETLus approval pending. Amazingly compact and lightweight, it measures just 9.25” x 5.5” x 12.5”/ 235 x 140 x 318 mm and weighs 11 lbs./ 5 kg.
