Elation is delighted to welcome Alex Brandt to the company as National Theater Market Manager, effective April 1, 2026. Brandt, based in New York City, will be central to driving Elation’s growth in the U.S. theater market, with a focus on key segments such as Broadway, Off-Broadway, and surrounding markets.
Brandt brings more than a decade of experience spanning theatrical lighting, production, and collaborative design. He most recently served as Lighting Supervisor at The Public Theater in New York, where he led lighting operations across multiple venues and a diverse slate of productions, including Broadway-bound Hell’s Kitchen, Suffs, and Fat Ham.
Brandt also played a key role in the revitalization of the Delacorte Theater in New York’s Central Park, contributing to the evolution of its production lighting infrastructure and its transition to an LED lighting package featuring Elation KL CORE IP and KL PAR FC IP fixtures.

With deep roots in Boston at American Repertory Theater, Boston Lyric Opera, ArtsEmerson, and the Huntington Theater Company, Brandt has built a reputation as a trusted partner to designers and production teams. He holds a BFA in Theatre Design & Technology from Emerson College and brings extensive hands-on experience of both the creative and technical demands of theatrical lighting.
In his role at Elation, Brandt brings a forward-looking, application-driven approach to supporting designers and institutions. “My experience has given me a fluency in how modern lighting technology can enhance storytelling while meeting the practical realities of production,” he said. “This transition into the manufacturing side of the business underscores my broader commitment to advancing the tools, workflows, and partnerships shaping the future of theatrical lighting.
