Smoke on the Rocks:
Elation Introduces Antari DMX Low-Lying Fog Machine That Runs on Regular Ice Cubes
LOS ANGELES-Elation Professional is proud to introduce the Antari ICE-101, a revolutionary DMX fog machine that produces heavy, low-lying smoke without the expense or messy inconvenience of traditional dry ice.
The innovative Antari ICE-101 uses everyday ice cubes and Antari LFG fog juice to generate cascades of thick smoke that make dance floors and stages disappear in ankle-deep clouds of pearly white. And since theres no dry ice involved, the ICE-101 produces significantly cleaner fog that doesnt contain high levels of unwanted carbon dioxide.
With 22 lbs. of regular ice placed into its ice chamber, the ICE-101 can last all day or night-up to 12 hours with occasional use. When run continuously, one load of ice can produce 80 minutes of constant fog.
“In the past, you had to hassle with dry ice to create this heavy-duty type of low-lying fog, an extremely popular effect among todays clubs, bands and theatrical productions,” said Joey Corral, sales manager of Antari products for Elation Professional, the exclusive distributor for Antari in the North American market. “Now, with the Antari ICE-101, professional lighting directors and club lighting installers can achieve the same dramatic smoky effects as dry ice in an affordable, safe and efficient manner.”
The ICE-101 contains a 1,000-watt smoke machine that blasts a maximum output of 10,000 cubic feet per minute. It can produce continuous output at 5000 CFM. As the fog is created, it rolls over the ice cubes and cools way down, causing it to settle at your feet and linger in low-lying areas. With the LFG fog juice, the fog will dissipate before it starts to rise, simulating a dry ice effect. When the ice melts, it neatly drains via a special pump that can be activated manually or set to automatic for optimum convenience.
With full DMX onboard, the ICE-101 gives users 100 percent control over fog production. It can be connected to any DMX-512 standard controller to work in concert with other lighting equipment and effects for a synchronized, mesmerizing light show.
The ICE-101 also comes with a GZ-8 timer remote, which puts control in the users hands. An output for separate units is also included, which means that multiple ICE-101s can be linked up for synchronized operation.
The ICE-101 has a heat-up time of 4.5 minutes, and its fog-fluid tank holds a total of 2.5 liters. The unit measures 24.3”L x 14”W x14.15”H and weighs 53 lbs.
It carries a suggested retail price of $749.99.
