Elation Color Spot-575 & 250

Elations Color Spot-575 & 250
Add New Dimensions of Excitement
With 360-Degree Rotating Yoke

LOS ANGELES -- Elation Professionals is bringing new meaning to the phrase
"We’ve got you covered" with its sweeping Color Spot-575 and 250
intelligent effects. Not only are these DMX-compatible units loaded with
colors, gobos and other eye-popping visual effects, they also feature a
moving yoke that rotates a full 360 degrees to cover all areas in a theater
or large club.

Unlike a traditional intelligent light, in which only the mirror moves, the
Color Spots 360-degree rotating yoke will blast out special effects to
every nook and cranny around the room. The effects will even appear to be
moving in the air -- up to the ceiling!

"More clubs and theaters are installing units with rotating yokes, like the
Elation Color Spot, because they want to have colorful, moving effects
throughout their entire venue," said John Lopez, Production Manager at
Elation Professionals. "A traditional scanner will only pan and tilt over a
certain portion of a room, whereas the Color Spot-575 and 250 will not only
cover a much bigger area, theyll also shoot moving lights up to the
ceiling, for a whole new dimension of visual excitement."

The Color Spot-575 and 250 have a pan movement range of 530 degrees in 2.65
seconds, and a tilt movement range of 280 degrees in 1.68 seconds. Both
units feature automatic pan/tilt position correction.

In addition to their rotating yoke, the Color Spot-575 and 250 contain many
high-tech effects to produce a spectacular light show. They feature the
newer glass gobos, which yield extremely vibrant images because they allow
more light through. Additionally, the Color Spot-575 and 250 are equipped
with a rotating 3-facet prism and a combined mechanical dimmer/shutter.
Both units offer variable strobing, ranging from 1-10 flashes per second.

Compatible with any DMX controller, the Color Spot-575 and 250 feature 8
and 16-bit pan/tilt and 14-16 channels. They incorporate many user
conveniences, including: a four-digit L.E.D. menu; readouts on lamp usage
and DMX values; remote lamp on/off; and built-in self-test mode for all effects.

Color Spot-575
The bigger and brighter of the two fixtures, the Color Spot-575 is ideal
for spacious clubs, theaters and large touring companies. It offers users
the ability to mix colors and overlay gobos on top of one another, to
create their own truly customized light show.

The Color Spot-575 contains two motorized color wheels with 15 dichroic
color filters (plus white), a 32k filter, 56k filter and UV filter. There
are also two motorized gobo wheels, one with 6 interchangeable 27mm
rotating glass gobos, and the other with 9 replaceable 27mm fixed metal
gobos. The metal gobo wheel includes a unique Gobo Shake feature, which
makes the gobos appear to vibrate back and forth.

Other features on the Color Spot-575 include a motorized iris, which
increases and decreases the size of the beam, and a motorized multi-step
zoom with 15", 18" and 22" apertures. Capable of setting large clubs and
theaters aglow with its brilliant 575-watt lamp, the Color Spot-575 retails
for a suggested list price of $5,399.95.

Color Spot-250
Aimed at smaller venues that want the excitement of total special-effects
coverage, the Color Spot-250 features the same 360-degree rotating yoke as
its larger sibling. The more compact version is equipped with one
motorized color wheel with 11 dichroic colors (plus white), and one
motorized gobo wheel with 6 interchangeable 27mm rotating glass gobos.

As its name suggests, the Color Spot-250 includes a 250-watt lamp.
Suggested retail price for the Color Spot-250 is $3,299.95.

"For effects that feature a 360-degree rotating yoke, the Color Spot-575
and 250 are very affordably-priced," said Lopez. "In the past, many clubs
and auditoriums had to rent these types of effects, but now theyll be able
to buy their own."
