Elation Introduces Vision 575
High-Output Scanner
LOS ANGELES -- Once again Elation Professional has shown
its futuristic “vision” in creating a special effect for theaters,
large clubs and stage productions. Elation’s new Vision 575
is a high-output DMX-512 scanner with advanced superior
optics and a long list of cutting-edge features -- from the ability
to overlay gobos, to a digital display for fixture characteristic
settings.
With its multitude of on-board gobos, the Vision 575 will have
revisions of colorful images dancing in spectators’ heads -- and
throughout the entire arena or room. The effect features two
motorized gobo wheels, with a total of 11 fixed gobos plus
6 interchangeable 26.9 mm indexable gobos. Gobos can be
overlaid on top of one another to create a truly exciting and
unique light show.
There’s no shortage of color excitement on the Vision 575 either.
The fixture includes 11 dichroic color filters plus white.
For added variation, there is also a 32K filter, 56K filter,
UV filter and frost filter.
Another unique effect on the Vision 575 is a rotating 3-facet
prism. Variable strobing at 1-10 flashes per second is another
capability offered by this versatile fixture.
Best of all, spectators who view the terrific effects created by
the Vision 575 will think their “vision” has suddenly improved,
thanks to the unit’s superior optics. It is equipped with a
motorized iris for a tighter beam. It also features motorized
focusing, allowing the creation of ultra-sharp images, and it
comes with a brilliant 575-watt lamp for super brightness.
“One of the most striking things about the Vision 575 is that
it produces much sharper, crisper, more precise images than
your typical DMX scanner,” said Ron Ramirez, national sales
manager for Elation Professional. “The Vision 575 was
designed to give theaters and auditoriums the superior visual
effects they’re demanding for today’s high-energy shows,
concerts and theatrical productions.”
The Vision 575 was also designed to put control of all the
effects at the user’s fingertips and make it easy to create a
customized light show. The fixture includes a four-digit L.E.D.
menu panel for addressing, personality setting and effects
calibration. The L.E.D. display also provides readouts on lamp
usage, DMX values and other pertinent information. Additionally,
there’s a built-in self-test mode for all effects.
Compatible with any DMX controller, the Vision 575 features
8 and 16 bit pan/tilt resolution. Pan movement range is
170 degrees, and tilt movement range is 110 degrees. Beam angle
is 15 degrees, with optional 12-degree and 18-degree lenses.
The Vision 575 also features remote lamp on/off, a combined
mechanical dimmer/shutter, and smooth microstep-driven dimming.
The unit weighs 70.5 lbs. and measures 25.2” x 9.46” x 8.27”.
It includes a 575-watt, 750-hour OSRAM HMI575/GS lamp.
Suggested list price of the Vision 575 is $2,999.95.
