Elation Wins Top Light Show Award At LDI 2000
LAS VEGAS - Elation Professionals captured the prestigious
Light Show of the Year Award at LDI 2000, the worlds largest
lighting products show, held here October 20-22. The company,
a division of Los Angeles-based American DJ, won the top award
in the Large Booth Category for its "Club Elation" theme display.
As its name suggests, the award-winning booth emulated a
realistic-looking nightclub, complete with a darkened dance
floor, tables and chairs, and even small details such as
napkins with a "Club Elation" logo. Colorful lighting effects
from Elation swept across the dance floor, moving in
synchronization to the pulsating beat of music played by a
disc jockey.
The lighting display at Club Elation featured the companys
flagship Patend Light 1200, a high-speed intelligent
color/gobo projector that can perform as many as seven
360-degree rotations per second, along with the Joy 300,
X-Calibur/SC, Master Blaster 1200 and 1500 fog machines,
and other Elation effects. The light show was orchestrated by
two state-of-the-art Elation controllers, the Show Designer and
DMX Operator. All of the audio equipment used by the disc
jockey was from Elations sister company, American Audio.
"Winning the Best Light Show of the Year Award at LDI is a
very prestigious honor, because this is the lighting industrys
premier trade show," commented Scott Davies, general
manager of American DJ. "The fact that our peers in the
industry chose to recognize us with this award shows that
Elation is succeeding in its mission to provide the very best in
premium club lighting."
Elation Professionals offers a complete line of upper-end
special effects, intelligent lights, controllers, foggers and stage
lighting products geared toward clubs, theaters, auditoriums,
and other professional entertainment, commercial and
architectural users.
