LOS ANGELES--Elation Professional heralds the return of the Roadshow, a two-day series of free seminars designed to educate dealers on the use and application of Elation lighting products. As a follow-up to last year’s well-received pilot program, the 2007 Elation Training & Products Roadshow will stop at several major North American markets this spring and make lighting experts of everyone along the way.
Presented by Elation’s Director of Sales Eric Loader and Theatrical Sales Specialist Ray Villasenor, the seminars will provide lighting dealers with hands-on experience and information on the latest product offerings, including intelligent lighting, lighting controllers and software, professional fog machines, LED lighting and more.
“We are pleased to announce the preliminary plans for the highly anticipated 2007 Elation Training & Products Roadshow,” Loader said. “After the tremendous response and turnout from our 2006 roadshow, we are again heading out on the road starting in February to visit our customers in key regions around the North American market. Many of our dealers cannot always make it to trade shows, so we want to give them the opportunity to get more hands-on with more of our product line while at the same time educating them on the use and application of our products.”
Educational outreach programs like the Elation Roadshow are needed because the lighting market has not only grown, but become much more sophisticated with the development of new technologies, Loader. Dealers who have participated most successfully in the lighting boom are the ones who have done the best job of educating themselves about lighting applications and current product trends. Those retailers who lack this knowledge not only fail to provide their customers with complete lighting solutions, they also short-change themselves on profits. By attending the Elation Roadshow and taking advantage of all the free educational seminars offered, dealers are likely to boost their lighting sales and create promising new business opportunities for themselves.
Both days of the seminar feature a morning session (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) and an afternoon session (2 p.m. – 5 p.m.). Day 1 begins with an overview of new Elation products, followed by a guest presentation from Philips Lighting on discharge and LED lamp technology, plus the introduction of a new lighting product from Acclaim. Day 2 includes an overview of Elation’s dimming accessories, data distribution devices and wireless DMX control solutions, as well as a guest presentation by the developers of CompuLive.
A complimentary continental breakfast and lunch will be served both days. Additionally, every dealer who attends the Roadshow will receive free gifts from Elation and have a chance to win a CompuClub software package.
“As lighting technology advances rapidly, we want to ensure that our dealers have thorough knowledge of how to use and sell the newest high-tech products from Elation,” Loader said. “As part of our commitment to dealer support, we are offering them the convenience of being able to attend product training seminars in their own cities at absolutely no charge.”
The schedule for this year’s Elation Roadshow includes February stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Phoenix; March shows in Houston, Atlanta and Seattle/Portland; April shows in Denver, Detroit and Columbus, Ohio; May shows in Boston, New York/New Jersey and Toronto; and a June stop Mexico City. Elation will announce exact Roadshow dates for each city or region in the near future.
