Focus Spot 250 Press Release

One Arm Bandit:
Elation Debuts Focus Spot 250
Compact Moving Head Fixture with Pro Features

LOS ANGELES-Wanted: a powerful intelligent moving-head spotlight thats compact and affordable enough to suit the needs of the smaller rental market, modest-sized clubs and professional disc jockeys.

Elation Professional has heard this latest bulletin and come to the rescue of small nightclubs, theaters and top-tier DJs everywhere with the release of the new Focus Spot 250, a professional DMX 250-watt moving head fixture thats priced and scaled just right for this market.

Junior-sized and wielding only one arm (rather than the two usually found on rotating yoke lights), the Focus Spot 250 might not look like your typical moving head fixture. But its clever design, deceptive power and impressive professional features such as remote focus and a high luminous-efficiency axial reflector and double condenser lens system put it on par with the best and brightest spots on the market today.

Equipped with 11 DMX channels, the Focus Spot 250 packs in an impressive array of colors and effects, giving users a multitude of options to put on a dazzling light show. It features 8 dichroic colors plus white, and 6 rotating interchangeable indexable gobos plus spot. Three of the gobos are metal, two are dichroic glass and one is textured glass, providing an interesting mix of textures. Adding to the visual excitement are continuous color and gobo scrolling and a gobo shake effect.

When it comes to illumination output, the Focus Spot 250 is no dullard either. Delivering 5,700 lumens at 15 feet, this one-arm bandit might make you blink but wont rob you blind. At a radiant 250 watts, it generates a substantial amount of light considering its relatively low price tag.

Another feature that will be welcomed by DJs and lighting directors is the convenience of remote focusing via DMX. The unit is equipped with a motor driven focus from near to far.

“The Focus Spot 250 gives you great power and a lot of features for the price,” said John Lopez, sales manager for Elation Professional. “Its bright enough and capable enough for professional productions of all varieties, yet it fits perfectly into the lighting racks-as well as the budgets-of even the smallest theaters and entertainment venues.”

Other features on the Focus Spot 250 include: a 4-digit LED display, 17° beam angle, stand-alone settings, mechanical dimming 0-100%, and a variable speed strobe pulse effect. The compact and lightweight fixture is designed for fast and safe installation. It weighs only 35 pounds and measures 13”L x 13”W x 22”H.

The suggested retail price of the Focus Spot 250 is $1,599.95.
