Vision-ary Performance:
Elation Professional Introduces Vision Scan 575 For Lighting Up Large Theaters, Tours, Concert Venues

LOS ANGELES - Lighting up the “front of the house” for a major performance has never been easier - no matter how gigantic the “house” may be. Elation Professional has introduced the Vision Scan 575, a mighty 575-watt DMX professional scanner designed for big concert halls, arenas, stage tours, major theatrical productions -- anywhere massive luminary output is required.

The Vision Scan 575 has everything needed to tackle ultra-large stage venues with brawn, brilliance, style and ease. Equipped with a powerful 575-watt Philips lamp, its beefy brightness is magnified even further by a high-output luminous-parabolic dichroic reflector optical system that intensifies the strength of its beam. Whats more, the Vision Scan 575 gives users the flexibility of three beam angle positions --18°, 20° or 22° -- with super-bright output at each setting. For example, at 18° the output is an impressive 12470 lux.

A moving mirror fixture, the Vision Scan 575 is capable of extremely quick movement and can easily keep up with the fast-paced action on stage. Its super-charged beams can also sweep across a wide area, with movement of 170° pan and 80° tilt.

Whatever type of lighting is called for to illuminate the act, the Vision Scan 575 has the tools to meet the need. For example, its equipped with an iris, which allows you to pinpoint a specific performer and put him or her in the “spotlight.” Or, if you want to cast a softer glow across a wider area, simply apply the units frost filter, which will produce a gentler, frostier halo of light.

If special effects are in order, the Vision Scan 575 is loaded with a multitude of eye-popping possibilities. It features two independent gobo wheels, the first with 3 lithographic, 1 glass and 3 metal rotating/indexing gobos, and the second with 7 static metal gobos. Gobos can be overlaid to provide a vast array of combinations, and theres also gobo scrolling and a gobo shake effect. For even greater variety, all gobos are easily interchangeable via the units convenient Slot-Lock gobo replacement system.

Another exciting effect is a 3-facet prism, which rotates in both directions at variable speeds. The Vision Scan 575 can produce 8 colors plus white, as well as split colors, and also features color scrolling.

“We designed the Vision Scan 575 as the ultimate professional scanner for large theaters, concerts - any area that needs a lot of light at 60 or 80 feet,” said John Lopez, national sales manager for Elation Professional. “Its a huge production piece that gives you a lot of options for lighting up large entertainment venues, all in one easy-to-use unit.”

Equipped with 16 DMX channels, the Vision Scan 575 can be operated with any standard DMX controller, or it can be run stand-alone in sound-active mode. Special DMX control options include: 16 pan/tilt preprogrammed movements via DMX; built-in programs via DMX; and pan/tilt/gobo/color and prism set to sound active mode via DMX.

When run stand-alone, the Vision Scan 575s effects will move to the beat of the music via built-in programs, with a sensitivity knob allowing users to control the intensity of sound activation. Up to 16 Vision Scan 575 units can be linked together and run master-slave.

Other features include: 4-digit LED display, remote focus via DMX, mechanical dimming 0-100%, and mechanical high speed shutter and pulse effect. The Vision Scan 575 is fan-cooled and comes with a Philips MSR-575 575-watt, 1000-hour lamp. It measures 13.75”L x 15.5”W x 30.5”H, and weighs 65 lbs.

The suggested retail price of the Vision Scan 575 is $2,899.95.
