Elation Fills Its Waterfall 250 PRO Water Simulation Effect
With Gallons Of Upgrades
LOS ANGELES-Elation Professional has given its popular 250-watt DMX Waterfall 250 water simulation effect more torrential power than ever. The company has introduced the upgraded Waterfall 250 PRO with a “flood” of new features -including greater light output, a new case design, dimmer, remote focus and the ability to create multiple color combinations-all of which make its ripple-like effects more vibrant and colorful, while giving operators better control.
A mood-setting effect thats ideal for nightclubs and dance floors as well as stage shows and theatrical productions, the new Waterfall 250 PRO features a sharp-looking redesigned case with a sleek shape that allows for improved optics and up to 20 percent more overall light output. Made from molded hard plastic, the new-and-improved case also gives the unit a more distinctive look and a smoother feel.
Elation has given the Waterfall 250 PRO an entirely new dimension by adding several thin multiple dichroic color filters to one of its slots. This allows users to create cascading effects in multiple color combinations.
“With our previous Waterfall models, you could only have a single color or split colors in the background,” said John Lopez, national sales manager for Elation Professional. “But now with the Waterfall 250 PRO, you have the option of having a multiple-color ripple effect. It looks great!”
The Waterfall 250 PRO offers both mechanical dimming and remote focus from near to far, providing improved control over the sharpness and intensity of the units water-like effects. As on the previous-model Waterfall 250, operators can individually control the speed and rotation of the Waterfall 250 PROs two textured glass wheels, which give the effect its water-like appearance when light shines through them.
The Waterfall 250 PROs 250-watt 3,000-hour lamp provides plenty of presence, power and reach, so the units psychedelic-like ripple effects penetrate every corner of the room. With 6 colors plus white and 6 split colors to choose from, in addition to the new multi-color option, users have a wide variety of ambient tones that can be used in different situations or with different types of music. And when the mood or the groove calls for heat instead of cool, the versatile Waterfall 250 PRO can be set to gush like fiery molten lava.
The 3-channel Waterfall 250 PRO can be operated with any universal DMX controller or as a stand-alone sound-active effect. When used in stand-alone mode, the Waterfall 250 PRO features improved controls that let users select the color they want and keep it static as long as they want it. They can also set the fixture to scroll through all the available colors at different speeds.
