World “Piece”: LSC Controllers To Be Marketed Under Elation Name
For One-World Branding

LOS ANGELES – With Light Stream Controls (LSC) becoming a major player in the international market, the company has announced that it is re-branding its lighting controllers under the name of its affiliated Elation Professional division. All LSC controllers will now bear the Elation brand name in every market where the products are sold, both in the United States and abroad.

The name change was implemented in light of the growing popularity the controllers have enjoyed in Europe, Australia and other areas of the world where the Elation brand is a highly-regarded force in the entertainment lighting industry, said Scott Davies, General Manager of the American DJ Group of Companies, the parent company of both LSC and Elation Professional.

“LSC controllers are being marketed internationally by the same distributors, to the same customers, as our Elation lighting products, so it makes sense that they should have the same brand identity,” commented Davies. “This is especially true because the Elation name has become so well-known throughout Europe and other international markets, where it’s synonymous with the highest quality professional lighting.”

The company decided to change the controllers’ name in the U.S. and all other markets as well, so that they would have a consistent brand image around the globe. “We wanted to go to a one-world branding strategy,” Davies explained. “The Elation name is ideal to use for our controllers in our own country and everywhere else, because the controllers have followed in the footsteps of the lighting line, in that they’re rapidly achieving recognition as world-class products by major clubs and other professional lighting users.”

The company manufactures a complete line of lighting controllers -- DMX, intelligent and non-intelligent -- for a wide range of entertainment uses. Included are controllers geared for lighting programmers, small to mid-level productions, rental inventory, smaller light shows, clubs, DJ’s, musical performances, stage shows, theaters, churches, and large entertainment venues.

Among the company’s most popular models are its Show Designer series, which are equipped with up to 1024 DMX channels and can control a large professional DMX light show, yet at the same time are surprisingly affordable. Two recently-introduced innovative models have also become hot sellers: the DMX Programmer, a compact tabletop 64-channel DMX controller with convenient features like a joystick and compact flash card, which is designed for use on the go; and the DMX Operator Pro, a hybrid unit that’s two controllers in one -- an intelligent controller and On/Off stage dimmer – and is thus able to service a production’s total needs.

“Our controllers will be marketed under a different name, but one thing that won’t change is our commitment to developing high-quality, innovative products that provide affordable solutions to professional lighting control needs,” said Davies.
